Airport History
Itanagar Airport, officially known as Donyi Polo Airport, is the first Greenfield airport developed in Arunachal Pradesh and marks a significant milestone in the state’s aviation history. Located at Hollongi, approximately 15 kilometres from Itanagar, the airport was developed to address the long-standing need for direct air connectivity to the state capital and improve access to one of India’s most geographically challenging regions.
