Darbhanga Airport (IATA: DBR, ICAO: VE89) is in Darbhanga, Bihar, and operates as a civil enclave within the Indian Air Force’s Darbhanga Air Force Station. Historically, the airfield was developed for military operations and remained under the control of the Indian Air Force for several decades.
Recognizing the growing demand for air connectivity in North Bihar, the Government of India selected Darbhanga under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) Regional Connectivity Scheme.
